I have been so busy the last few weeks, and there’s no signs of slowing down. I have Christmas shopping to do, more homeschooling preparations to complete, articles to write, and still working on my book.
I have a couple of major articles planned for next year that I’m getting the ball rolling on right now, and I’m very excited about them. One of them has to do with a new non-profit that looks like it will do some really great things.
The book…the book is coming along. I’ve fleshed out the idea quite nicely and everything is flowing as I write. The problem I run into is finding the time to actually work on it. I spend my days writing articles, since those actually pay at the moment. Homeschooling prep comes immediately after that in the list of priorities because with only a few weeks to go until we start, I’ve got to get things ready to go.
I’ve got to go next week to renew my driver’s license and car tags, which will take more time away from all the other things I need to do. The week after that…oh, I don’t even want to think about it. That week, I have to do my Christmas shopping, attend my oldest child’s school Christmas program, his DARE graduation, and Christmas parties for both kids at school. And somehow, I must still find time to not only publish, but write.
I love the end of the year, because I love Christmas. I enjoy the baking (oh my god, I forgot to include that in my list of things to do!), the time with my family, the shopping, and seeing my kids open their presents. But at the same time, this is the worst time of year for me, because it is so unbelievably busy.
In case I don’t get back here before then, Merry Christmas!
