Expanded purchasing options for my books!

I’ve had all of my books enrolled in Amazon’s KDP Select for, roughly, the last year or so. I’ve spent the last few weeks, as the renewal date for my enrollment neared, trying to decide whether to continue with Select or whether to expand out to other sites again.

Select has some benefits that were mildly beneficial. The main ones being the option of either 5 free promo days or up to 7 days for a Kindle Countdown Deal, where you could lower the price of your book. These benefits were more useful in the beginning than they have been recently, which was one reason I struggled with my decision. Another was that, while the benefits weren’t as helpful as they had been in the past, they did still seem to help some. I was a little hesitant to give up that little bit of help.

But ultimately, I decided that I wanted to expand beyond Amazon again. So I made sure that I wouldn’t be renewing my enrollment in Select, and got busy preparing my books to be put on other sites. As of today, I’m happy to announce that you can purchase all of my books, in ebook form, on Barnes & Noble and Kobo, as well as Amazon.

I’d also love to know if you use another site to purchase ebooks that you’d like to see my books available on, or if you’re an author and you’ve found another site to publish on that you think I should check out.

    1. I used Smashwords before I enrolled in Select. I felt like they made it far more difficult than it needed to be, and that there wasn’t much in the way of visibility beyond the initial front page appearance when you first publish.

I may go back, but I’m still thinking on that one. Thanks for the suggestion, though! 🙂
