'Twas the night before Thanksgiving

So, here I am, 9:30pm the night before Thanksgiving, watching “Montana Sky” on DVD and editing photos.

I’ve got so much to be grateful for this year, and I appreciate every bit of it. So much has changed in my life in the last year, much of it in the last 6 months or so.

My writing has become more than just my passion, my hobby, but more of a viable way to make some money. And it’s something I can do from home, allowing me to spend more time with my children.

I have a great family that supports me in whatever I do, which is such a bonus when you’re striking out on your own path that is completely different than what most “normal” people are doing.

I have 2 awesome kids who are just incredible, and who not only support and believe in me but who love me. Probably not as much as I love them, but that’s okay. 🙂

I’ve got my own life, one that I love very much and am very happy with.

It rained today. It rained hard, a couple of times. After the second rain, we finally got outside for a few hours. The kids wanted me to go see the flowers in our front yard. I was reluctant, but I got up and went. I’m so glad I did.

The flowers bloom in white, pink, red, and a mixed white and red one that is absolutely gorgeous. Right now, we’ve only got white and pink blooming. The rain had left perfect little water droplets on the petals of the flowers, as well as on a few closed buds. I got my camera and got some absolutely amazing shots. They are so good, I don’t think I’ll need – or want – to do any editing at all, not even to crop them or scale them. I think if I want to share them, I will only share them where they can be shared at their current size. They’re too gorgeous to alter in any way.

I’ll be enjoying a delicious meal with my family tomorrow. I hope you, too, will be enjoying time with your family.

Happy Thanksgiving!
