Tangled Deceit turns one!

Okay, not really, since the book itself is actually about eleven years old. But it’s been exactly one year today since I published it. And my, how things have changed.

I’ve explained before that this particular book was actually written when I was a young, stay at home mom with my oldest son. I wrote it, finished it, and put it aside as things changed and I felt I didn’t have time to focus on it.

Things changed again, and last year I decided to publish it. I published it on July 1, 2012. Since then, I have published two more novels and a volume of poetry. I’ve been hard at work trying to finish another book for publication. I can officially call myself a published author now.

Although, I’ll let you in on a little secret: I still feel weird to say that. When people ask me what I do, it feels strange to say I’m an author. It feels like bragging, almost. But, sometimes self promotion (aka bragging) is the only way to truly make it as an author, so I do it even when it feels uncomfortable.

So, today Tangled Deceit has been published for exactly one year. I appreciate all the reviews, comments and emails I’ve gotten in the past twelve months, even on those occasions when what I read might not have been something I really wanted to read.

I wanted to thank everyone for all their support, encouragement, and of course, for buying my books. To do that, I decided to offer Tangled Deceit, the ebook, for free. I’d hoped to do it today, since today is the one year mark, but I’m afraid time got away from me, and I didn’t get things done in time. But it will be available for free on Thursday, July 4, 2013. This is a one day offer only, so if you haven’t read Tangled Deceit yet, make sure you pick it up for free then.

Here’s the link where you can get it. But remember, it’s only free on Thursday! And if you don’t have a Kindle, don’t worry! You can download a Kindle reading app for your phone, your computer or your tablet, or you can even read it in your browser with the Kindle Cloud Reader.

I hope you’ll enjoy the book. If you’ve already read it, feel free to pass the word to friends and family who haven’t, so they can enjoy it, too.

Thank you for reading my blog, reading my books, and letting me know what you’ve thought of them. I can’t wait to be able to release my next book for you to enjoy!
