I’ve been so busy the last few weeks. Between research and writing, planning for the holidays, planning homeschooling stuff, and finding time to sleep, it’s been nonstop. I’ve also been helping the kids with homework as always, which some days takes longer than others. It amazes me when my kids bring home homework and then tell me that either the teacher hasn’t taught it yet, or that it was only covered briefly. What is the point of sending them to school for 6 hours a day if they’re not doing anything while they’re there?
But I won’t be slowing down anytime soon. I’ve got a slew of articles surrounding the holidays to research and write, more homeschool planning to finish up, and the holidays themselves.
I love Christmas shopping. I love browsing and picking out gifts that I think are just what my kids, parents or others will love. But I also hate Christmas shopping: the crowds, the rush to sneak and get it done while the kids are at school and get it hidden away in a closet so they don’t find it.
I’ve also got things coming up after the new year that I have to plan for now.
The end of the year rush is great because of the holidays, but it can also be the most frustrating thing ever trying to figure out how to get everything done.
Time to get back to work, I think.
