I’m working on several things at the moment.
I’m still doing edits for The Secrets He Kept. I’m also looking for a few people who might be interested in reading the story (in ebook format) to tell me what they think and give me reviews. That’s a time consuming project all by itself.
Then I’m also preparing my poetry to be published in a book. I’m getting it all formatted, working on a title and a cover, and working on a couple of new poems to include.
As if all that weren’t quite enough, I’m also working on getting my photographs uploaded to the and will be offering them for sale in various print sizes and on a variety of items, such as mousepads, calendars and magnets. This is starting to look like it just might be the biggest time suck of them all, even though I initially thought this would be the fastest and easiest of my projects.
On top of all that, we’ve got homeschooling going on, as well as preparing for my youngest son’s birthday in just over a week, my father’s birthday the week after that, and my parents wedding anniversary two weeks after that. Then, of course, there’s Thanksgiving and Christmas to prep for.
I want to rush to try to get everything done. Naturally, this is all stuff that takes time and simply can’t be rushed. I’m having to force myself to slow down, take deep breaths, and even stop altogether sometimes. Even today – I fully intended to take today completely off from any kind of work – no editing, no photography work, no website updates. Nothing. I was going to read, relax, enjoy my day. But…here I am, writing this blog, and I’ve done some photography work, and am considering doing some editing later. For someone who never considered herself to be a workaholic, I’m really starting to feel like one.
I’ll keep you posted as projects are completely and made available, so that you can check them out. And if you’re interested in being one of the advance readers of The Secrets He Kept, send me an email and I’ll get in touch. Look for a blurb to go up on the site sometime late this week!
