NaNo, planning – and a freebie

I’ve been super busy the last couple of weeks. October is always a busy month for me. There are 2 birthdays and an anniversary all within about two weeks in October, so there’s lots of planning, shopping, baking and celebrating going on. With my decision to do NaNoWriMo this year, that adds even more to do, since I’m busy plotting and planning my story.

Which is why I’ve been so busy. I’ve been dealing with the celebrations, and planning for November. I’m also, of course, busy teaching my kids, doing field trips and other things that go along with that. Just thinking about all that I’ve been doing, and still have to do, is exhausting.

But on the upside, I have figured out my story for this year’s NaNo. I’m really excited about it, and can’t wait to start writing. Planning is nice, and kind of fun, but my fingers are itching to start the actual writing process. I’ve got my locations, and my characters. I’ve gotten to know my characters quite well – and with a couple of them, that’s really very unpleasant. The plot is all figured out, and surrpisingly enough, my characters are being very cooperative and are generally happy with how things will go. I’m looking forward to next month being very productive.

Before I forget, Ripped Away is free today and tomorrow on Amazon. And in case you didn’t know, it got a 5-star review from Reader’s Favorite. If you haven’t read it yet, pick up a copy today (or tomorrow) and check it out. I think (really, really hope) you’ll enjoy it.

With that, I’m off to educate young minds and continue planning for next month.
