I have been so busy lately. I’ve been working on a book, and making tons of progress on it. I found a new tool for writers, Scrivener, that makes keeping my work organized so much easier and helps me fly through the process.
I’ve also branched out and begun writing articles for Suite101.com. I’m not writing for Examiner.com nearly as much anymore. I know that was where a lot of my readers found me, but I hope you’ll follow me to Suite101, and to Yahoo! Voices, where I’ll also be publishing again. Examiner.com just isn’t a good fit for me anymore. The rules change too often, and they don’t inform the writers until after the change has been implemented and we’ve been dinged for not following the new rules. In order to make any real money, I’ve got to not only write a lot of articles every week, but I have to localize them. The thing is, localizing every single article is a lot easier than it sounds.
With Suite101 and Yahoo! Voices, I don’t have to localize my articles. Plus, in instances where it’s necessary, I get true editorial guidance. That’s a huge thing.
I’ve also been dealing with a variety of issues, from minor car trouble to major car trouble, balancing work with homeschooling my children, and more. I’ve also been pretty intensely focused on my writing in every spare minute, so I haven’t posted on here nearly as much as I’d like to.
I promise I’m going to try to change that, though. In the meantime, make sure you check out my latest articles on both Yahoo! Voices and Suite101.
