Back on track

Last week was a really off week for me. I got next to nothing done.

The Friday before, I spent the entire night awake, in some pretty severe pain. I’m still not sure what exactly was wrong with me. The only thing I know for sure was that it happened again Tuesday night. The days between, and the days after Tuesday, were spent feeling weak, exhausted and just generally not in the mood to do much of anything.

I got very little writing done, although I did manage to muddle through our homeschooling week (except for Wednesday, when I was just so exhausted that I didn’t even bother to pretend that I could do anything).

This week, I’m getting back on track. I’m no longer feeling sick. I seem to have mostly caught up on sleep, so exhaustion is no longer an issue. My brain is no longer foggy and unwilling to think. And – we’re done with homeschooling for the summer!

This means that I should get more writing done. I don’t have to spend time planning our lessons, and have much more time to spend writing. Summer seems to be my best time for writing.

I love summer. Swimming, grilling, camping, hiking, and just the general lazy day feeling of it all appeals to me. I could do without the ridiculous heat and humidity we get, but other than that, summer is wonderful.

I’m back to work, and feeling very optimistic about the progress I will make this week, and in the next few. Check back for an update soon!
